Who am I?

Quinten Voordeckers
- Born in 2000 in Heusden-Zolder (Belgium).
- Living in Leuven (Belgium)
- Spent several hours a day on YouTube
- Until I read a book on Digital Minimalism at the age of 21.
- Curious, I spent a month without YouTube….
- I missed it a lot so when the month was over I jumped right back on
- But after 3 min it became clear to me that it wasn’t fulfilling to me
- Since then I’m proud to say I still use YouTube but only on my terms
- The daily multiple hours of YouTube are now only a few minutes or even zero which gives me much more time!
- Time to play Ukulele,
- Read books
- Meet new people,
- And set up my own projects
- Without that experience, I would not be who I am today.
- That’s why I founded the Curious Bird Project.
- And now I get immense fulfilment out of helping others have a similar experience.

1. INSPIRE.c (keynote)
Everything starts with a good story
With this keynote, I want to INSPIRE the audience to spend less time on digital distractions and experience more connection & flow live more in the Real World. I start not only from my own story, but also from the stories of other Curious Birds. People who have challenged themselves to take back control of their digital distractions.

2. START.c (workshop)
Easier said than done
At this interactive workshop, the main goal is to START. We give everyone a taste of connection & flow in real life like and what it is like to be less digitally distracted. That’s why I don’t focus on awareness only but we take the first concrete steps towards a more digitally conscious life.
Max 2 h.
3. CHANGE.c (challenge)
Stronger together
This challenge aims to CHANGE our digital behavior in the long run. The best way to do this is to step away from our personal digital distractions for some days. This is not easy, which is why we challenge each other in group but also take into account everyone’s individual situation.
3 workshops of max 3h spread over 28 days.
